What is Power Saver Technology?

2-stage furnace
A 2-stage furnace simply means it has a high and low setting (single stage only has a high setting). A 2-stage furnace spends most of the time on low speed (which is more efficient) and only kicks to the high speed when the temperature outside drops and more power is needed to keep your home at the desired temp.
The Power Saver motor in the EL296E operates at a constant torque (or speed) so it can provide a constant flow of perfectly conditioned air. When the air inside your home is at the right level of humidity, you’ll use less energy in the heating and cooling modes and your home will feel more comfortable-no matter what the weather is like outside.
How does the furnace help in summer months? When operating at the low speed for air flow, the air spends more time in contact with the air conditioner coil and this helps reduce the moisture level (in the air) during the hot humid summer months. Less humid air translates into more comfort for you.
