Dependable Heating Repair in Boring
We’ll do our best to get to you and fix your heating whenever it happens. However, ideally, you’d probably like to avoid any interruption in your heating. Often, your furnace will show signs of a problem before it stops working entirely. If you can recognize those signs, you can schedule service before you’re in an emergency situation.
It may be time to schedule heating repair service if you notice any of these concerns:
- Inconsistent heating
- Big power bill increase
- Unusual noises or odors
- Rapid cycling
- Poor airflow
We also recommend that you don’t delay in scheduling service because the problem may be easier to solve early on. Over time, if neglected, the problem could get worse, or there could be more damage to your system.
There are several different things that could cause an unexplained sudden rise in your power bill. A furnace that has begun to operate less efficiently is one of the likely causes. Make sure that you haven’t substantially increased your furnace usage and that there hasn’t been a rate increase. If neither of these is true, we can take a look at your furnace and see if there’s a problem.
Rapid cycling, or short cycling, means that your furnace is not completing a full cycle or reaching the target temperature. You don’t need to precisely time the cycles in order to notice that it’s turning on and off more frequently. Any time that your furnace isn’t heating as it normally does is a good reason to schedule service.
