What’s SEER?

Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio. 

It measures cooling output to electrical consumption over a range of temperatures (like gas mileage on a car). 

The higher the SEER, the more energy efficient and it’ll cost less to operate.

What is HSPF?

Heating Seasonal Performance Factor (HSPF) measure the efficiency of a heat pump. 

The U.S. government’s minimum HSPF ratings for a heat pump is 6.8%.  The higher the percentage, the more efficiently the unit operates.
